Work

Nastia Volynova studies bodies of water in relation to memory, power, and technology. She writes and occasionally works within artistic practice at the intersection of environmental humanities, anthropology, and history. Nastia is a member of residues of wetness—an art and research collective exploring aquatic entanglements, fluidities, and discontinuities. Her projects have been published by Manchester University Press, Routledge, and e-flux, and exhibited at the Lisbon Architecture Biennial and the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam, among other venues. Nastia holds an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths, University of London.
